Hello Friends, this simple dish is delicious recipe, it is a different way to prepare a tuna sandwich. Tuna is an excellent source of high biological value protein, vitamins and minerals. With the advantage is low in saturated fat and is high in Omega 3 (anti - cholesterol) . Enjoy this great meal with your family.
Ingredients:
8 slices enriched bread
1 cup flaked tuna
1/4 chopped celery
1/4 chopped green pepper
1/2 cup shredded American cheese
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp paprika
Directions:
Arrange 4 slices bread in bottom of greased 8 -inch square baking dish.
Combine tuna, celery and green pepper and spread over slices of bread.
Sprinkle cheese over all. Cover with remaining bread slices to make sandwiches.
Combine eggs, milk and salt, pour over bread.
Sprinkle with paprika.
Bake in moderate oven (350F) about 30 minutes.
Personal Suggestion: I love this dish, you can accompany it with fried potatoes and a rich green salad. I like to decorate the dish with cherry tomatoes. This recipe is perfect for a lunch or dinner for a weekend day.
