Teriyaki Burguer – Fast Food

The next hamburger is a cross between a classic American hamburger but with oriental flavor essences. You can buy teriyaki sauce in a bottle at the grocery store, but authentic teriyaki sauce is very easy to make. To make teriyaki sauce, you need soy sauce, mirin, and sugar.



Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 slices of bread, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • sliced tomatoes
  • 4 fresh bread crumbs

Directions:

Combine ground beef and remaining ingredients in a large bowl; blend well.

Shape beef mixture into 6 patties.

Broil for 10 to 15 minutes about 5 inches from heat, turning once.

Assemble hamburgers placing the meat between the bread.
Serve immediately.

Personal suggestion: Serve with french potatoes and a green or Hawaiian salad.
