Sweaty Meat and Egg – Colombian Food

Hello friends, the following recipe is a traditional dish from Colombia called “Bistec a Caballo”,  this dish consists of meat cooked with tomatoes and onions, and serve it when you add a fried egg on top. In our country this dish are served with hot white rice and fried bananas. Enjoy this great Colombian recipe with family and friends.



 

Ingredients:
2 slices of beef tenderloin
3 red tomatoes, sliced
1 large white onion sliced
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon oil
2 eggs

Directions:

Season the meat (with salt and pepper).

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and oil, when hot place the meat, onions, tomatoes and let bake 10 minutes.

Flip the meat and continue cooking until the desired roast.

Apart fry the egg and place over meat and serve immediately.

 

Personal Suggestion: This meat dish is delicious. The egg is fried in oil or butter for a few minutes until the yolk still soft. Serve this recipe with white rice and some fried bananas or potatoes.
