For the following recipe is important to keep in mind that buys in a safe place where it is certain of its freshnes. This is an espectacular dish, the always rich prawns prepared in a sauce of chili, onion, celery, pepper, tomato, flour, vinegar and peas, delicious recipe for a special dinner.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound shrimp (prawns) preferably large
- 60 grams butter
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup celery chopped fine
- 3/4 cup chopped green chile sweet fine
- 3 tbsp. parsley chopped fine
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder or drops tabasco
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 1 1/2 tbsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 cans tomato paste
- 1 1/2 cups peeled and chopped tomatoes
- 3 cups shrimp broth
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1 small can peas
Directions:
Peel and wash the prawns. Boiled in 4 cups water with salt, 1 bay leaf, lemon juice, 1 onion 4 cloves stuck in the onion.
When the prawns turn a pink color and begin to curl up, away from heat, strain and reserve broth.
Cook onion in butter, celery, chili, parsley, bay leaf, chopped tomato, peppers, chili powder or drops Tabasco, salt, sugar and vinegar.
When the vegetables are soft add tomato paste, flour diluted in 3 cups of the broth the shrimp and cook prawns for 15 minutes.
Once you’ve boiled shrimp sauce add shrimp and boil a few minutes. Finally add the peas and serve immediately
Personal suggestion: This seafood dish is traditionally served on a layer of white rice. However you can serve with mashed potato and green salad.
