Seafood Pasta – Christmas Food

In Italy, you can eat pasta including in Christmas Eve. If this year you want to surprise your family with a different and delicious dish, this pasta with seafood taste is an excellent option for your Christmas celebration.

Ingredients:
- 1 lb. pasta
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1/4 tsp. fresh oregano
- 2 tbsp. capers
- 1/2 lb. peeled medium shrimp
- 1/2 lb. scallops
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling, salted water.
Meanwhile, heat the oil in a skillet, and cook the garlic and onion until softened but not browned.
Dice the tomatoes and add to the pan with the juice from the can, the oregano and capers; cook until about half the tomato juice has evaporated.
Add the shrimp to the skillet with the scallops, salt and pepper, and cook, stirring, about 3 minutes, or until the shrimp turns white.
Drain the pasta and add to the skillet; stir over medium heat for 1 minute.
Personal Suggestion: Serve with garlic bread, a salad and wine. you can add more ingredients like crab and squid too.
