Scallops Galician Style – Spain Food

Scallops or oysters shellfish are a family, closely related to clams and oysters. They live in deep water in most of the seas, on sandbars and cleaner strong near the coast, up to 100 meters deep. In Spanish cuisine is located in Galicia, where it is typical to find them cooked in the oven covered with bread crumbs, onion confit.

Ingredients:
- 6 large scallops
- 4 green onions
- 3 tablespoons bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- nutmeg
- parsley
- pepper and salt
Directions:
Clean the scallops to start, with the opening heat in the oven, and remove the bag of soil.
Then in a pan heat oil and cook the green onions and garlic.
Add salt and pepper to the scallops, cover them with the previous sauce and sprinkled with breadcrumbs, parsley and a pinch of nutmeg.
Finally, place the scallops in a baking dish and baked at 190C for 15 minutes.
Serve immediately.
Personal Suggestion: Join this rich dish with baked potatoes and garlic bread. Additionally as is typical in Spain, this dish should be served with a glass of wine.

I have been trying to get the recipe for home made ADOBO sauce recipe from SPAIN and not Mexico.
My parents are from Spain and my mom made her
sauce with croutons, garlic, vinegar and cominoes.
I have not been successful. I need to have and idea of the quantities. I am so sorry I did not get my mom’s recipes. Every thing she prepare was not from a cookbook. My parents have passed and I am wanting to make the Adobo sauce for my family. Can anyone help me?
