Title: Saltimbocca
Cook Time: 50 minutes

Our next preparation, “Saltimbocca” is a delicious dish, typical of the Italian capital. This name is given as this dish is a veal and ham rolls that come to the mouth of how rich they are.

Ingredients:

  • 8 steaks thin and not very large
  • 8 slices Ham
  • 8 sage leaves
  • 1/3 cup white wine
  • 1 pat of butter
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Directions:

Hammering the fillets to make them tender.

Overlap the slices of ham steaks and cut them to have the same size and shape.

Place on the ham steak and overlapped, a sage leaf and roll up.

Close the roll with a toothpick, inserted longitudinally.

In a skillet, over medium heat, fry the rolls in butter and a little oil.

Add wine, cover and let simmer about 15 minutes.

Cover with water, add the saffron, cover and let cook for half an hour.

Serve immediately.

Personal suggestion: To give more flavor to this recipe you can add a mozzarella cheese slices on each roll.  Serve  with baked  potatoes.
