The “Mojito” is a cocktail from Cuba, who in recent years has fashion throughout the world. It was created in “La Bodeguita del Medio“, one of the bars frequented by tourists in the heart of the Colonial Zone, near the Cathedral of Havana. The mojito is also well known for being one of the favorite drinks of Ernest Hemingway. During his long stay in Cuba, provided the writer commented: “My mojito in La Bodeguita and my daiquiri in la Floridita.”

Ingredients:
- 4 or 5 mint leavesJ
- uice of half lemon
- 2 or 3 tablespoons sugar
- Sparkling water or soda
- White rum
- Crushed ice
Directions:
In a glass with a wide mouth, introduces 2 or 3 tablespoons of sugar together with 4 or 5 leaves of mint.
This mixture is crushed against the bottom and walls of glass, using a long-handled spoon.
Subsequently introduced the crushed ice (4/5 parts), a dash of white rum, lemon juice and half the necessary amount of soda or sparkling water to fill the glass.
