Hello Friends, this next recipe “Meat pie” is a traditional dish from Spain. In the ingredients you will find two kinds of olives. Olives are considered to be an essential ingredient in the Mediterranean diet. I hope you like this recipe; enjoy it with your family and friends.
Ingredients:
800 g Minced pork
150 g Pepper stuffed olives
100 g Black pitted olives
6 Gherkins
4 Eggs
6 Bacon slices
1 tsp Minced parsley leaves
½ tsp Nutmeg powder
½ tsp Pepper powder
Salt
Directions:
Slice the gherkins.
Place meat in a bowl, season with salt, pepper, nutmeg powder, basil and parsley.
Beat the eggs and add them mixing all ingredients together.
Heat the oven 200C.
Arrange bacon slices at the bottom of baking dish.
Add remaining meat and cover with one bacon slice.
Shield the dish. Make a small hole in the centre and beat a bain-marie for one hour.
Remove form heat. Cool and refrigerate until serving.
Personal Suggestion: If you don’t like black pitted olives, you can use only the pitted olives; you can add egg and sausage. Serve this dish with bread and a cup of red wine.
