Hello friends. The next recipe “Mango Lassi” is a popular and traditional yogurt-based drink which originated in the Punjab (state in northwestern India) , traditional lassi is sometimes flavored with ground roasted cumin. Sweet lassi, blended with sugar instead of spices, is also very popular. In many parts of India “Mango lassi” is a cold drink consisting of sweetened mango pulp mixed with yoghurt, cream, or ice cream,  served in a tall glass with a straw, often with nuts sprinkled on top.

Ingredients:

1 cup plain yogurt (Dahi, plain non-fat Yogurt)
1/2 cup milk (optional)
1 cup peeled and chopped Ripe Mango
4 teaspoons sugar, to taste
1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
A dash of ground cinnamon

Directions:

Put into a blender: Mango, yogurt, milk, sugar and cardamom, blend for 2 minutes.

Pour into individual glasses, and serve.

Can sprinkle with the spices.

The lassi can be kept refrigerated  several hours before serving.

Personal Suggestion: This beverage has an amaizing flavor. if you want you can add some Ice-cubes to the drink before shaking to give a more watery texture. This shake is perfect for a hot summer day.  Enjoy this great recipe with family and friends.
