Lasagna - Mother’s Day
Title: Lasagna
Cook Time: 1 hour
Level: Easy
Serving: 6
Hello Friends, the next recipe is one of my favorite dishes, i love Italian food. The word lasagna, is both a form of pasta in sheets and also a dish, sometimes named lasagne al forno (meaning “oven-cooked lasagne”) made with alternate layers of pasta, cheese, and often a meat or tomato sauce. Enjoy this great recipe to celebrate Mothers Day.
Ingredients:
8 ounces lasagna noodles
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
8 ounces mushrooms
16 ounces Italian sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried leaf oregano, crumbled
1/2 teaspoon dried leaf basil, crumbled
1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded Mozarella cheese
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°.
Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain and set apart.
In a large skillet, brown beef, onion, and mushrooms; drain well.
Stir in spaghetti sauce, garlic powder, salt, oregano, and basil.
In a buttered baking dish (about 11×7x2-inches), layer 1/3 of the lasagna noodles, 1/3 of the sauce and 1/3 of the ricotta cheese, Mozarella cheese, and Parmesan cheeses. Repeat layers twice.
Bake lasagna at 350° for 30 minutes, or until thoroughly heated and bubbly.
Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
Personal Suggestion: The lasagna is an amaizing recipe, i use to serve it with garlic bread and a delicious vegetable salad. If you want to prepare this recipe for your mammy accompany this dish with red wine.
