Ingredients:
2 Green bananas or green plantains

Salt to taste

Directions:

Peel the green bananas.

Slice the bananas or plantains lengthwise or slice them in a thin rounds, you can use a mandolin if you want perfect thinness.

In a deep fryer, heat the oil between 375 F - 400 F.

Add the bananas to the hot oil; watch out not to overcrowd to keep them from sticking together.

Fry until the bananas look a golden color.

Remove the bananas from the oil and drain on paper towels.

Sprinkle with salt and serve immediately.

Personal Suggestion: Patacón is a delicious Colombian appetizer, if you have guests for dinner this is a very good option to try something different. You can serve them with garlic sauce, cheese sauce; shrimp sauce or the sauce of your choice.
