Gravy – Sauces

Title: Gravy
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Level: Easy
Serving: 6

Hello friends, Gravy is a sauce made often from the juices from meat or vegetables during cooking. Ready-made cubes and powders can be used as a substitute for natural meat or vegetable extracts. It is also commonly eaten with different types of meat. One Southern American variation is sausage gravy eaten with American biscuits and mashed potaoes. In Australia, Canada and the northern parts of the UK, chips and gravy is seen as a popular dish too.

Ingredients:
1 c flour
1 stick of butter
1/2 c canola oil
4 poultry bouilon cubes
leftover drippings from meat or bird (optional) to add more flavor

Directions:

Take the butter and canola oil and pour into a warm skillet.

As the butter begins to bubble, after melting, blend the oil and butter and add one cup of flour.

Cook until the flour has browned.

Add two cups of water and 4 bouillon cubes.

Stir until done.

Serve  immediately.

Personal Suggestion: I love this sauce, you can make a roast beef with mashed potatoes and sweet corn. Gravy can be made from the drippings of various meats, including turkey, chicken, pork, and beef.
