Hello Friends, a dish of Hungarian origin is Goulash, a dish made of onions, beef, pepper and paprika. The name is “Gulyás” in Hungarian means “bull.” This dish is not only in Hungarian cuisine, it also appears in countries in Central Europe, the Balkans and in this time has been moved to other parts of the globe. It is considered a very simple and homely food for its preparation and its ingredients are very simple at times to get there. Enjoy this great recipe with your family.

Ingredients:

Beef: 1 lb (1/2 kg) cut into cubes
Red onion: 1 medium, chopped
Paprika: 1 tbsp
Olive oil: 2 tbsp
Garlic: 1 clove, minced
Beef stock: 2 cups
Tomato paste: 2 tbsp
Lemon juice: 1 tbsp
Sour cream: 1 tbsp
Salt
Pepper

Directions:

In a medium saucepan, cook onion with olive oil for 5 minutes or until soft.

Add garlic and cook 2 more minutes.

Insert beef cubes and paprika and fry until brown on all sides (about 4 minutes).

Add beef stock and tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper.

Cover and simmer for 30 minutes on medium heat or until meat is tender. Stir occasionally and add water if it gets too dense.

Before removing from the heat, stir in the sour cream and lemon juice.

Serve immediately.

Personal Suggestion: This is a basic recipe for a goulash dish, you can add some vegetables like carrots and kidney beans or your favorites. You can server this dish with rice or pasta.
