Crostini – Italian Food

The “Crostini” are slices of bread smeared with garlic, olive oil and toast in the oven, with top of various ingredients; is a delicious Italian dish, a sort of rustic snack which you can add many ingredients.

Ingredients:
Bread:
2 cups flour
5 g yeast sesame seeds
1 / 2 cups warm water
50 g butter
Crostini:
1 onion
1 green pepper
1 Tomato 100 grams of ham
200 grs. mozzarella
100g Parmesan cheese
Fresh basil
2 tbsp capers
Directions:
Bread:
Mix the yeast with warm water and leave a few minutes while putting milk in a saucepan, when hot, add butter and salt (about 1/2 teaspoon); removed when the butter is completely melted and add yeast.
Add the flour in parts, while mixing quickly until dough is sticky, continue mixing and adding flour until all traces separate from the container. Flour a kitchen counter and turn the dough, work with it until a soft smooth dough.
Place in a clean container and cover not entirely transparent film with a kitchen and let stand until it doubles in volume.
Divide dough in two, stretched with a rolling pin to shape rectangular about 2 inches and rolled to get a tube. Round off the ends and carry on a greased baking tray and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Make a cut parallel to each other and let leven. When inflated see, do preheated oven.
Bake for 20 minutes before removing from oven, paint with egg white beaten with two tablespoons of water and let it brown.
Crostini:
Cut the onion into rings and cook in oil, should get some onion rings soft and well made. Remove and set aside. Proceed as with the pepper into thin strips.
Cut the bread into slices (like breakfast toast), sprinkle with a little olive oil and bake a few minutes. Turn the crostini and top with a few onion rings, two slices of fresh tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and chopped fresh basil. Place in the oven until cheese melts.
