Title: Crème of chocolate
Cook Time: 50 minutes
Level: Easy
Serving: 6

The next dessert is a quick and easy version of a French classic. While chocolate is usually eaten for pleasure, there are beneficial effects on health associated with eating chocolate. The black chocolate benefits the circulatory system. Other beneficial effects suggested include anticancer effect and brain stimulator.

Ingredients:

  • 75g chocolate
  • ½ L. milk
  • 115ml whipping cream
  • 45g sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • ¾ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • nutmeg or cinnamon

Directions:

Turn the oven, warm.

Cut chocolate, put into the milk and dissolve over low heat until almost boiling.

Beat the yolks, using an electric mixer if you want, and add sugar gradually, beating until mixture is thickened and pale yellow.

When the chocolate is warm, pour half the egg yolk mixture carefully to avoid splashing.

Then pour the chocolate mixture and egg in half the remaining chocolate left in the pan and add some vanilla extract, whipping cream and stir well.

Strain into a jug and place in small bowls or molds.

Place in a baking dish with a little hot water in the bottom and cook 35 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.

Chill in refrigerator several hours before serving, cover with a layer of cream and sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon.

Personal suggestion: To present this dessert at a special dinner, you can put some whipped cream and a cherry in the center.
