Mushrooms are edible fungi that can be found throughout the year. They are a good food for the athletes because they provide protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals with few calories (20-34 Cal/100g) without fat or cholesterol. They are known as “vegetable burgers” because they contain all the essential amino acids and are a good substitute for meat in some recipes (lasagna, chopped, moussaka, bolognese sauce).

Ingredients:

  • 1 finely chopped chives
  • Olive oil
  • Black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped giblets
  • 1 pound mushrooms cut into sheets
  • 1 pound cream cheese
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 sprig of fresh rosemary
  • Salt to taste

Directions:

Place the oil in a saucepan and brown the onion and garlic.

Add mushrooms.

Cook until they are facts.

Add cream cheese and milk, and letting the cream until it is thoroughly mixed.

Add salt, pepper and rosemary.

Personal Suggestion: This delicious sauce can be served over hot pasta, type tagliatelle.
