Enjoy a light and summery dish rich in vitamins and a delicious flavor. The meat of a crab is used in many cuisines across the world, prized for its soft and delicate taste. Real crab-meat contains important vitamins and minerals, such as copper, zinc and iron. The chromium contained in crab-meat has been credited with helping to raise an individual levels of “good” cholesterol. In addition, crab is a low-fat and low-calorie source of protein.

Ingredients:

1 pkg. Cream cheese
2 cans crab-meat, rinsed and drained
cocktail sauce (cat sup, horseradish)
lemon juice

Directions:

Unwrap the cream cheese and place on serving dish.

Pour drained crab-meat over cream cheese, pressing into cheese sightly.

Pour cocktail sauce and lemon over crab- meat and serve with crackers.

Personal Suggestion: There are two types of crab-meat. The first type is real crab flesh, while the second is known as imitation crab-meat, often referred to as crab stick, imitation crab is available at many supermarkets.  The  real is more expensive than the imitation variety. For this recipe i prefer to use the real crab-meat because it gives a better texture to the dish.
