Corn Bread - Mexican Food

Corn is a cereal with very interesting properties for people who can not take gluten. Its high carbohydrate content in easy digestion, makes it an ideal food for children and athletes. The next recipe is an amazing corn bread.
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Corn Meal
- 1/2 Cup Flour1/2 teaspoon Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 Egg
- 1 Cup Buttermilk
- 4 Tablespoons Corn Oil
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375 F.
First in a large bowl Mix together, 1 cup of buttermilk, 4 tbsp of corn oil and 1 egg; mix well.
Add and mix with the wet ingredients, 1 cup of corn meal, 1/2 cup of flour, 1 tbsp salt and 1 tbsp of baking powder.
Cover the bottom of the skillet with about 2 Tablespoons Corn Oil. (This is what makes the corn bread a little crunchy around the edges).
Then place the skillet on the a stove burner and let it heat on medium high until hot.
You need the corn oil hot, but not burning. Once the oil and skillet is hot pour your corn bread batter in and then place this all in a 375 degrees oven and bake for 20 minutes.
Once it is done the top should be slightly brown.
Personal suggestion: You can serve this delicious corn bread as an appetizer or you can used in a weekend breakfast.
