Hello Friends, this next recipe “Chicken sofrito” is a delicious Colombian recipe. The chicken is the white meat with more protein, low in fat, supports many and varied forms of preparation. The chicken is healthy, light and tasty, ideal for salads, grilled or served cold. Enjoy this great meal recipe with your family.

Ingredients:
6 onions, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped fine
5 tomatoes, diced
1/4 red pepper, diced
1 tsp ground cumin
3 tsp salt
3 tsp olive oil
8 pieces chicken legs and thighs, skin removed
½ cup beer
1 1/2 cup water
garlic powder
1 cup cilantro, chopped

Directions:

In a deep saucepan heat the oil.

Add the onions, the garlic and peeper, cook for 3 minutes, insert the tomatoes; cook for 2 more minutes. Add the salt and the cumin to taste.

seasoning the chicken with salt, onion and garlic powder.

Put in to center of the saucepan allowing chicken to brown slightly on both sides.

Add the beer, water and cilantro. Rectify the seasoning. Add more salt if necessary.

Cover the saucepan and simmer on low heat until chicken is cooked through, about 20 minutes.

Serve immediately.
