Title: Cherry Flan
Cook Time: 1 hour
Level: Easy
Serving: 6

The following dessert is very colorful, I like to prepare for Christmas.  Cherry bush is a species native to Europe and western Asia, which derive the majority of cherry cultivates. It is a popular fruit in the Mediterranean since ancient times, Greeks and Romans spread widely. Today it is cultivated in most temperate regions of the world.

Ingredients:

  • 4 1/2 eggs
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 225 g sugar blond
  • 200 g cherries
  • 375 cm3 of milk
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • lemon zest

Directions:

Placed in the bottom of the mold 25g of sugar. Heat until melted sugar (looks like caramel).

Separately, heat the milk with lemon zest and the rest of the sugar until it reaches a temperature of 60 C. Remove from heat and allow to stand.

On the other hand, mix the eggs and yolks with the cream.

Joining the two preparations.

Whisk the mixture to unify.

Place the cherries in the mold of caramel and pour over the flan. Bake in water bath at 170C for 30 to 40 minutes.

Remove from mold and serve.

Personal Suggestion: Every dinner should be accompanied by a dessert to close the evening. In this recipe if you want to do a variation you can also add strawberries in syrup if you do not like cherries.
