Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms - Christmas Food
Title: Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms
Cook Time: 1/2 hour
Level: Easy
Serving: 6
A study published in the Journal of Nutrition attests to the antioxidant potential of rustic mushroom (Agaricus bisporus). The greatest benefit of the mushrooms on health, subscribe to the authors, lies in the ergothioneine, an amino acid that supplies energy to the cell mitochondria, increasing the effectiveness with which oxygen is involved in metabolism. In addition works in the body as a powerful antioxidant, whose effects are particularly noticeable in the liver, eye lens and red cells.
Ingredients:
- 250 gr mushroom (same size)
- 120 gr cream cheese
- 1 clove garlic
- Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme)
- Juice of ½ lemon
Directions:
Clean the mushrooms and then dry them gently with a cloth. Remove the stems and remove them.
Cut the garlic in half and fill in a saucepan with water and bring to simmer for 5 minutes. Take water and chop the garlic.
In a bowl put the chopped garlic, cream cheese, chopped herbs and lemon juice and beat until it forms a fine paste.
Season with salt and black pepper. Fill out this paste each of the mushrooms until they are slightly above the edge of the mushroom.
Before serving, bring the mushrooms to the oven for 10 minutes.
Then garnish with parsley leaves.
Personal Suggestion: I like to prepare this delicious recipe as appetizer at our family celebrations, you can add for example another type of cheese like blue cheese and some diced ham.
