Beef Stroganoff – Meat

Hello friends, the most widely accepted history of the origin of the Beef Stronagoff dates back to 1890 when a chef working for Count Pável Aleksandrovich Stroganov, the famous Russian general who invented the recipe for a cooking competition in St. Petersburg. After the fall of the Russian empire, the recipe became popular and it was used in hotels and restaurants of China before the Second World War. Russian and Chinese immigrants took this dish to be spreading to the U.S. Enjoy this great recipe  with  your  family.



Ingredients:

2 pounds beef tenderloin cut into bite pieces
2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups container sour cream
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup dry red wine
14 oz. can beef broth
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Coat tenderloin pieces with flour, salt and pepper.

In a large saucepan, cook the beef in butter with onions, mushrooms and garlic until meat is browned and mushrooms are tender.

Add Worcestershire sauce and beef broth and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.

Stir in sour cream and wine and heat for about 5 minutes.

Serve over hot cooked noles.


Personal Suggestion: The Tenderloin Stroganoff is real comfort food. In its simplest form it is a fillet of beef with mushrooms fact given, onions and sauce made of sour cream served over rice or pasta. i like to serve this beef with mashed potatoes also.
