A steak is a cut of meat. Most steaks are cut perpendicular to the muscle fibres, improving the perceived tenderness of the meat. The more tender cuts from the loin and rib are cooked quickly, using dry heat, and served whole. In many restaurants that specializes in beef steaks, a typical steak dinner consist of a steak, with a starchy side dish, usually baked potatoes, but occasionally another dish like rice, pasta,  beans or  vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 6 beefs meat ½ cm thick
  • Juice of half lemon
  • 6 slices of cheese mozzarella
  • 6 slices ham
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 3 basil leaves
  • Salt, freshly ground pepper

Directions:

Place the butter and oil in a skillet.Once butter is melted, add the quick cooking beefs to make them juicy.

Add salt and pepper during cooking and then drizzled with lemon juice.

Remove and add to skillet tomato sauce and basil leaves cut by hand.

Once the sauce is hot, add the sauce on the supporting beefs.

Over each beef put a slice of ham and mozzarella cheese.

Cover the pan on the fire leaving only the time necessary for the mozzarella melts.

Turn off heat and leave to rest a few minutes and serve.

Personal suggestion: This dish can be accompanied by a pink wine. For example, “Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé”  with fruity and floral bouquet.  Take between 7 and 8.
