Hello friends, the next recipe is a great asparagus recipe. Asparagus is native to the Mediterranean, the rivers Tigris and Euphrates and was consumed by the ancient Egyptians and Greeks. Ingredients:
1 large can asparagus tips, drained (save liquid)
1/2 lb grated cheese
1 c cracker crumbs
3 boiled eggs, sliced
1 stick of butter
1 can cream
1 c chopped toasted almonds
Directions:
Mix cracker crumbs and cheese together.
Put one layer of this mixture into casserole dish.
Add a layer of asparagus tips, a layer of boiled eggs and layer butter.
Combine cream and reserved liquid of asparagus tips.
Pour half of this mixture over the layer of butter.
Repeat layers and top with toasted almonds.
Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes.
Personal suggestion: The aparagus casserole is a healthy and delicious recipe. You can serve this dish with warm white rice and a green salad. if you want to add more flavor you can change the cream for 1 can of mushroon soup.
